Living Our Faith At SSPP
At Saints Peter & Paul School, our Pre-K through Grade 8 curriculum follows the guidelines established by the Diocese of Wilmington and is rooted in six essential tasks of catechesis:
- Promoting knowledge of the faith
- Liturgical education
- Moral formation
- Teaching to pray
- Education for community life
- Missionary initiation
Across all grade levels, students are taught the teachings, prayers, and rich history of the Roman Catholic Church, along with the Gospel values of love, forgiveness, honesty, compassion, and service. These values are not only learned but lived—our students are encouraged to embody these virtues in their daily lives, using them as a moral compass for decision-making and personal growth. Our ultimate goal is to help each student integrate these core beliefs into all aspects of life.
As a faith-filled school community, we gather regularly for worship. Students participate in monthly Mass and weekly prayer services led by individual classes. Service is also a vital part of our mission. Through initiatives like Operation Christmas Child, Embrace a Child, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thanksgiving Drive, students experience the joy and responsibility of giving. These acts of charity and humility allow them to serve others while deepening their relationship with God.
